Though I have suggested this as kids snack, adults will love them too, and that’s why they double up as party starters.

Ingredients
- Babycorn 200 gm
- Red chilli powder 2 tsp
- salt as required
- Olive Oil or any neutral oil 3 tbsp
- Celery or Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp
- Lemon Juice of half a lemon
- Butter 10 gm
- Parmesan Cheese grated 2 tbsp
- Mayo and Ketchup to serve
Steam the Babycorn in a pressure cooker for 10 minutes ( without whistle) , or alternatively put them in a Microwaveable safe dish, add adequate water and salt and microwave on high for 7-8 minutes. Then drain all water and set aside.
For the Marinade, combine the Red chilli powder, Salt, oil and celery and mix well. Squeeze the juice of the lemon and mix again. Apply this Marinade over the Babycorn and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Now, insert Skeewer sticks to the base of the Babycorn, right at the center.
Now put the butter on a hot Tava and let it melt. Spread the butter all over the Tava. Now arrange the Babycorn on the Tava and grill the Babycorn until lightly charred ( brown). Keep turning the skeewer sticks, so that they char evenly.
Now transfer the grilled Babycorn to a greased baking tray. Bake at 180 C in a pre heated oven for 20 minutes until crisp and the cheese melts. Remove from the oven and serve warm with Mayo and Ketchup.
